The Ice Wins
We just came out of 34 hours of no electricity due an ice storm here in Indiana. It's funny how it's called a 'storm' when it is one of the calmest weather events I've seen.
The power went off around 1:00 am. I stuck my head outside and heard the tree branches popping under the weight of the ice. It's not fun having to rely on the kindness of neighbors to take a shower before work. There are 8 or 10 houses that were dark here, but next door had no problems.
Spent an uncomfortable night in the basement near a gas powered heater.
