Tippecanoe

I've been awakened by the sound of my alarm clock, the light on my wife's bedstand, and by someone touching my shoulder, but I don't think I've ever before been roused from sleep by a smell.

Well, that all changed today when my dog laid a big puddle of excrement on the bedroom floor. It took 20 minutes to clean up, and now we're all sleeping in the living room.

(The last remaining of the five senses is taste. Have you ever been awakened by a taste? Maybe like the guy on the plane in the Listerine Breath Strips commercial?)
