Somebody Please Shoot Me Now

I'm at the West Lafayette Borders store at 10:30 at night awaiting the release of the latest Harry Potter saga. The activities are pretty lame, so the store is full of bored, anxious kids and tired, yawning parents. After hanging out here for the next 90 minutes, I have to drive to Von's Books up the street to actually purchase the book. (My wife makes the plans, and I just implement them.)

I think it's cool that my kids love to read, but couldn't they have done this at 8:00am on Saturday? Hopefully, I'll be able to stay awake on the ride home.

Comments:
and i did exactly the opposite--went to von's books at midnight to commiserate and gawk at the hordes, then did a driveby blogging at borders on my way back downtown.

Trust me - more fun to be at the bookstore at midnight than sitting by the mailbox on Saturday afternoon, fretting away every minute that the mail lady is late.

The book is well worth it, though!
