Diary of a Sick Day
- 12:35 AM
- I think I'm going to hurl!
Hey! Get it together, man. 'Cause if you hurl, and I catch a whiff of it, man... I'm gonna spew. And if I blow chunks, chances are someone else is gonna honk, alright? And that's gonna set off a parastolic reaction, alright?
OK, OK, I'm alright. Chunkage contained - 5:15 AM
- I'm still alive! I should probably get up and get the kids ready for school, and ... ZZZZ
- 6:06 AM
- Sent the "I'm sick today" email to work. It's official; I'm staying home.
- 7:55 AM
- Just drove the younger kid to the bus stop because of the rain.
- 8:10 AM
- I could sit here all day handling work email, but I need to shut down OWA and try to relax.
- 8:45 AM
- The dog and I are watching Olympic curling - USA vs. Sweden. I just don't get this sport.
- 9:37 AM
- Sweden holds a slight lead over the Americans.
- 10:02 AM
- Wasn't USA curler Pete Fanson in "Death to Smoochy"?
- 10:53 AM
- Whoo Hoo! USA tops Sweden 10-6! (I still have no idea how this sport works) Two and a half hours is a long match.
- 11:07 AM
- As I watch West Wing, the chills have set in. I'm adding layers and boosting the thermostat.
- 12:00 pm
- News at Noon on WLFI. It's news from where I live. (Meanwhile, in the back yard...)
- 12:24 PM
- I'm starting to feel shakey - like a low blood sugar thing, so I'm going to have some lunch. Chicken Noodle soup with crackers should do the trick.
- 12:45 PM
- Dave Stohler wins the Little 500! (I always seem to just catch the end of this one.)
- 1:59 PM
- Lunch seems to be staying down pretty well. However, a nap seems to be nowhere in sight. I've been web surfing and messing with my Linux configuration. What a geek I am!
- 2:38 PM
- Just walked past a mirror and looked at myself. What a scary sight!
- 3:12: PM
- I just spent 5 minutes staring out the window into the back yard. It's a warm, wet, windy day, and I'm thinking about replanting grass there. It is currently mostly bare. I probably won't be thinking much about yard work in a couple of days when it will be 40° colder and snowy
- 4:05 PM
- The kids are home from school
- 4:25 PM
- I talked the younger kid into going to the gas station with me so that I wouldn't have to get out of the car to buy some Sprite.
- 5:45 PM
- Supper was the rest of the Cambell's soup, along with a ham sandwich. The food didn't upset my stomach, but watching Indiana Governor Daniels on TV did.
- 9:32 PM
- Not much on TV tonight, so I watched the replay of yesterday's Daily Show and an episode of Full House. ("Everywhere you look...")
- 10:02 PM
- Well, I don't feel great, but probably good enough to go back to work tomorrow. Now it's bedtime.

Sam prefers the Daily Show to Olympic curling. He's never seen Daniels, so I've no idea where his political leanings might lie.
(Does Daniels have dogs or cats?)
